Before founding Forbes & Manhattan, Bharti worked as a mining engineer in Sudbury, Ontario, and later established BLM Inc. in 1988, a management and engineering consulting firm serving mining and natural resource companies. He later became President of William Resources, where he participated in the acquisition and development of the Bjorkdal gold mine in Sweden and the Jacobina gold mine in Brazil.
In 2002, Bharti founded Forbes & Manhattan. The organization operates across Canada, the United States, Western Europe, and China and has participated in the financing and development of companies involved in mining, fertilizer, battery metals, and infrastructure-related resource projects.
The firm’s activities include project financing, engineering support, operational management, strategic restructuring, corporate development, investor relations, and long-term planning for growth-oriented companies within the natural resources sector.
Bharti’s recent focus has been on fertilizer and potash development projects connected to agricultural infrastructure and global fertilizer demand, as well as battery metals and critical minerals associated with electrification, industrial manufacturing, and long-term infrastructure growth.
In addition to his business activities, Bharti supports educational, environmental, and charitable initiatives through both personal philanthropy and the Bharti Charitable Foundation.
